What's to come in 2019 and more

One of my priorities for 2019 is to blog more…a lot more than I’ve been able to since the season of motherhood came along and completely swept me off my feet! I’ve given some serious thought to what’s been keeping me from writing more often – in addition to having an active toddler, selling our old apartment, moving into a temp apartment and then buying our first single family home you ask?! Yes…in addition to all of the above, I’ve also been hesitant to share the new direction of my life on PFOD.

When I started this blog I was working as a full time corporate interior designer and the blog was very much inspired by my work and a way to share that aspect of my life. Whereas right now I’m focused on my daughter while trying to set up my own residential design practice. I’m also obsessed with staying healthy by creating nourishing meals and deserts from scratch for my family. This year I hope to share more of all of these aspects of my life on PFOD with you guys.

Behind the scenes I’ve also been working on an update for the “Pocket Full of Design” logo and a new look for this blog! The current version was created by my techie husband years ago and this time I’m trying to learn the ropes so it’s been a slow process to say the least. I can’t wait to finalize it and share it in the next few months :).

With that said, hope you enjoy these sneak peaks into the new home. It’s been just over a month since we moved into our first single family home and although we’re mostly unpacked, we’re not quite settled in yet.

Living Room

Gallery wall at corridor leading to bedrooms

Play area next to living/dining

Vignettes of various objects/decor pieces around the house

In our previous apartment I was in a hurry to unpack and design the whole place in one shot but this time I’ve decided to take it slow and really live here before we make each space our own. Also, as tempting as it is to finish it all up in a week like an HGTV show, it’s nearly impossible to do so with a little one at hand ;)! Luckily this place was in great shape to begin with and we only made minor cosmetic changes (like painting the walls and a few other minor fixes). I hope to share more before and after photos of our home as we settle in!

Still working on styling the various shelves and surfaces around the house – stay tuned!

Now that you’re all caught up on what’s been happening and what’s to come, I hope you’ll join me for the ride in 2019 :).
