Strenuous September is out and I’m so happy to be finally writing again after nearly a month! Last month was super exciting peeps – our house was what I’d like to refer to as a ’Startup Zone’ as the hubby and our dear friend Nitesh prepared to introduce Padlet at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco. It was great to be around such infectious energy and creativity! In addition to being their cheerleader from the sidelines, I prepared for an exam, embarked on some tedious college applications and attended more birthdays and social engagements than ever before!
Now with all that action behind me, I can finally share some striking works of art and design which kept me calm and inspired throughout September. Although October’s going to be another action packed month, I’m eagerly looking forward to some much needed moments of Zen…

Inspired by Trinidad’s annual carnival, the architect and creator of these costumes describes them as “ephemeral architecture”. Breathtaking!

This three dimensional “clouds” installation is created using modular pieces of foam and cloth petals. I think it’s interesting how it can grow like an organism and I imagine it would be easy to suspend due to it’s light weight materials.
