Spent hours at a recreational sporting goods store this weekend gearing up for husband's Machu Picchu hike! I was unexpectedly thrilled by the space's tough aesthetic and surprised by my newfound interest in outdoor activities. We were grateful for the helpful staff who turned a routine trip into an exciting experience.

In the final part of my Singapore series, I'm excited to share Kith Café. It's a charming spot overlooking the Singapore River designed for a sense of kinship, embracing simplicity and sincerity. Custom-made furniture, suspended light bulbs, a chalkboard wall, and plywood block seating create a unique atmosphere. I can't wait to experience it on my next visit to Singapore!

I reflect on my experience as a design student, where seeking approval from professors led to a lack of self-confidence. A search for universal principles led me to explore contrasting yet established design philosophies of Feng Shui and Minimalism. I was thrilled to discover both Feng Shui and Minimalism aim to create simple, clutter-free spaces that balance nature, space and human elements.
